Most companies require contractors and suppliers to present and maintain professional or technical licenses, in accordance with applicable state laws and federal regulations. The licensing system is designed to protect property owners against fraud by requiring licensed contractors to pass standardized tests, disallowing unresolved contracting complaints and sometimes requiring criminal history background checks as standard requirements.

BCS helps companies collect, manage and track license information including the occupational license type, license number, issuance and expiration dates and provides clients with electronic reporting on the status of any expired licenses. Suppliers are notified of upcoming license expirations at intervals set by clients allowing for more supplier licenses to remain updated and current. BCS scans and uploads the licenses to an online document repository for easy and convenient access to these documents by authorized users.
